I’m a Mom and entrepreneur that strives to bring as much “green” into her family’s life as possible. Recent focus for me has been on a slow and gentle remodel on portions of our home. From planting greenery that is native to our area to learning more about eco floorings, wall coverings, insulations, alternate energy resources, etc, I have enjoyed an ongoing education. Naturally, I am extremely concerned about the high toxin levels found in many conventional building materials and their effect on our bodies – particularly for children. One thing for certain, the more I learn, the more I long for a natural home that exists off the grid. Perhaps a “building with straw bale” course is in my future!
