One of the greatest joys in my life is teaching about art; I am a children's art teacher committed to living creatively and authentically. I adore teaching children and being a part of their lives. Teaching is like a cycling love pump - the love and inspiration that flows back and forth between me and my students is deeply fulfilling. I'm also intellectually and spiritually driven to understand the world around me. I'm about to begin a graduate program in Art History and Visual Culture. Studying the vast and varied creative expressions of the world's cultures is endlessly fascinating. Art history has helped me to understand the world, the shape and motion of cultures, and even how they have influenced my own life. The study of art history has cultivated a path of critical awareness and evaluation that I aspire to share with my students as they make their own journeys in the world. I have gifted hands and heart. I'm quixotic and practical. I'm direct but love endless subtlety. I'm a dedicated maker of objects and I love long (tedious) meditative physical process. I've crawled through hell on my belly and survived and learned, and now I thrive! Passion, compassion and dispassion are tenets I live by.
