Laughter Yoga is a unique concept of unconditional laughter according to which anyone can laugh for no reason at all. It does not rely on jokes, humor or comedy.  It initiates laughter as a form of an exercise in a group and as the session’s progress; laughter becomes real and contagious laughter. 
 
The name Laughter Yoga is derived from combining yogic breathing (Pranayama) with laughter exercises. This effective blend allows for multiple health benefits, primarily increasing the supply of oxygen and boosting the immune system. It energizes and recharges the metabolism making one feel fresh and energetic.
How to Laugh Without a Reason
 
The best part of laughter is you really don't need any "reason" to laugh....Just Start.  Initially laughing alone may seem awkward but joining a Laughter Club makes it easy. One can actually feel ‘fake’ laughter convert into ‘real’ and contagious laughter.

Laughter and joy are antidotes to stress. It gives people a break and helps them face the challenges of life with a positive mental attitude. When we laugh many positive physiological changes take place in the body. Laughter Yoga is a worldwide movement for World Peace, Health, and JOY. 
 
 
We hear so many people say, 'I haven't heard my own laugh in so long.' The laughter clubs allow them to re-connect with that childlike freeness.
 
Ananda Wildflower is a visionary leader and pioneer in the field of Wellness, Spirituality and Creative Expressive Arts Therapy. So much fun!!!

And so liberating! It's wonderful that we don't need to talk to connect with people we don't know! We just need to laugh! Laugh! Laugh!!Ahahahahahah! Beyond words and beyond conventions! Thanks for everyone for being there, I feel blessed I could enjoy this workshop...now I'm back into words trying to *explain* but I'd rather everyone to *experience*...that's what it's all about! Thank you Ananda for this workshop, you were able to break the barrier of the mind by rational explanation "it's ok...it's scientific" :-D and let the body express itself!

 

Laughter yoga with Ananda

I'd tried various forms of yoga in the past, but never laughter yoga -- and it was a fun/ny, loosening up and breathing deep practice that definitely expanded my appreciation of what yoga is/can be... I think laughter yoga with Ananda was the best group yoga practice I've experienced. Rather than spreading out separate mats in rows and dressing up in serious athleticized mode, we circled 'round with wands, feather boas, tiaras and whatnots that she'd brought to share with us. We got to rev up our collective laugh energy, throw laughs back and forth, pour them, gulp them, cough up our stale air, laugh some more, and then rest (and laugh)... It was social and fun, not intimidating. Thank you!

 

Ananda's laughter yoga workshop

I was surprised how easily i (and we as a group) lightened up and laughed. Ananda's introduction helped me understand from a rational point of view why i needed to leave aside the rational part of the mind for the time being. I also found scientific background and the history really useful in being able to commit to the exercises.

The exercises were inroduced slowly, so that each time I thought - "hey, I can do that!" And they were so enjoyable! I loved laughing and moving and jumping around. I think it was Ananda's teaching style that helped me feel comfortable and at home. And it was real physical exercise, really opened my lungs and freed up my mind. My work is pretty intense and analytical, and I enjoyed really (really) lightening up.

Breathwork and relaxation exercizes at the end were very centering and calming. By the end of the workshop I felt the heavy load of life lifting.

Definitely, I will not forget this workshop in my life! I was not aware of how laughter is accessible and available all the time. All I had to do is to put myself in the right place at the right time with the right workshop leader.
It sure looks that Ananda has deep and extensive ecxperience and lots of passion for what she is doing and I can only recommend all to experience this amazing workshop.
I was not aware also to the extent of the Laughing Yoga movement and the real change it does to millions of people around the world every day. Is that what will bring peace to the world???
