I am a father for an amazing hybrid son and a husband for even more amazing wife, happily living in Oakland California, growing food in a roof-top garden and growing from within as a family.

Previously I lived in Los Angeles, TelAviv, Haifa, Buenos Aires, Berlin, and dozen other places in Israel. Needless to say, to the ones who know me, my most favorite place in the world is where I grew up most of my early life, Zikron Yaakove (Israel).

After serving in the military for 3 years and substituting in a school or 2 years, I did my big backpacking trip to South America and enjoyed its natural wonders and the warmth and friendliness (in most cases) of the people. When I was done with SA and headed back home, I already knew what I will be studying.

I chose TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), studied it for 4 years and right after that I was ready to leave to China to do some more studies and possibly train in a TCM hospital.

China never came, but the United States did and it had been keeping me busy without noticing for the last 7 years!

Currently, I am a part time stay home dad, the USA distributor of the awesome raised beds Kiwi Collars and full time developing and maintaining websites for individuals and companies, as well as running and moderating this website you are visiting right now.

A big passion of mine is learning and speaking new languages. When ever I have the opportunity to learn a new language, I will take it! I speak fluent Hebrew and Spanish besides English (which makes everything easier in the Bay Area) and can communicate very well in French, Portuguese and Arabic.

I love taking pictures of the nature in its most powerful and colorful moments, of elements in the cities, as well as people. Painting used to be something I did every day and I wish I would find the time to get back doing that.

My newest hobby is hang gliding (still in early stages of training). After hang gliding 10 feet above the ground for 20 seconds and experiencing it, I cannot see my life without doing it all the way up (soar with the eagles), at least once.

I am making the world a better place by:

Teaching myself how to make things more sustainable for my family and the world around us and then acting on it.

I am not in any way close to be the perfect most sustainable person on planet earth, but definitely making my path less and less cluttered by my footprints.

In my retail and distribution business I try to stir away from anything that is composed of petroleum and corn syrup, though I have to admit that I still use plastic occasionally.

I support people and groups that bring positive alternatives to the main stream culture and impact people with their ideas and actions. For example, I am sponsoring the Bay Area Laughter Yoga, which is a vibrant Meetup group with few teachers and dozens of participants laughing and being silly for an hour every week. hoho hahaha :-)
